The need for a new drain field was the starting point for this project. Trying to include and soften a very large functional necessity became a challenge.

Stones from the drain field excavation became steps to an upper garden sitting area. A pile of rounded river rock became a pyramid and a second pile of flat river stones created a dry stream. Vintage Indonesian urns and deities adorn the landscape.
