Anacortes

This garden was a collaboration between Sadafumi Uchiyama, curator of the Portland Japanese Garden, and Schwiesow & Drilias.

Mr. Uchiyama had drawn a master site plan which included a series of traditional Japanese garden features including a Machiai, a hand carved lantern designed by Mr. Uchiyama, a stream and fish pond, a bamboo grove, and an azalea hill.

The Schwiesow & Drilias team was selected to oversee the completion of the master plan. They designed and installed the stream, pond, waterfall, the bamboo gate, the irrigation system, the lighting, and the planting.
